Safety Checks You Can Do

    • Check your home's circuit breaker panel to ensure the breaker for the washer is in the ON position; if tripped, switch it OFF then back ON • Inspect the washer door visually to confirm it closes completely without gaps and the door handle aligns properly with the frame • Open and close the door firmly several times to ensure the latch engages with a clear clicking sound • Verify the door is not obstructed by lint, fabric, or other debris around the door seal and latch area • Wipe the door latch and striker plate clean with a dry cloth to remove any visible dirt or buildup • Check that all wash cycle settings on the control panel are properly selected before pressing start • Perform a complete reset by turning OFF the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turning it back ON to allow the control board to reinitialize • Ensure the washer has been idle for at least 5 minutes before attempting to run a new cycle after the error appears • Verify you are closing the door with steady, even pressure until you hear the lock engage
