Possible Causes

    • Door latch mechanism is misaligned or not fully engaged • Debris or foreign object obstructing the door seal • Worn or damaged door lock solenoid preventing proper electrical engagement • Faulty door latch switch sending incorrect signals to the control board • Water remaining inside drum preventing door from locking properly • Control board error detecting a false door lock signal • Loose electrical connections to the door lock assembly • Manufacturing defect in the door locking mechanism specific to USA 120V/240V models

Safety Checks You Can Do

    • Verify the circuit breaker for your washer has not tripped; switch it off and back on if needed • Ensure the washer door is completely closed with firm pressure until you hear a clicking sound • Open and close the door several times slowly to ensure the latch mechanism is seating properly • Inspect around the door gasket and seal for any lint, debris, or foreign objects; gently clean with a damp cloth • Check that the control panel settings are correct and no buttons are stuck or held down • Confirm both hot and cold water supply valves behind the washer are fully open and water pressure is adequate • Power down the washer completely by switching off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then turn it back on to allow the control board to reset • Attempt to run a new wash cycle after the reset to see if error clears • If error persists, unplug the washer and wait 5 minutes before plugging back in to perform a full system reset • Do not attempt to force the door open if it remains locked after powering down
